Saipem showcases autonomous Flatfish and Hydrone-R drones at ONS 2026

Saipem is exhibiting at ONS 2026 in Norway with the autonomous FlatFish and Hydrone-R underwater drones for advanced inspection missions. The FlatFish can operate to 3,000 meters, while drones in Saipem’s Hydrone program can run autonomously on the seabed for up to 12 months. Saipem says this can optimize costs, improve safety, reduce reliance on support vessels and lower associated CO₂ emissions.
