SACAA Probes Embraer Flyover Over Cape Town’s DHL Stadium

South Africa’s SACAA is examining a formation flyover carried out by Airlink on Aug. 29 over Cape Town’s DHL Stadium just minutes before the second Springboks–All Blacks Test. The regulator downloaded the aircraft FDR data and sought more information after Flightradar24 analysis indicated a 12.5–14m clearance above the roof while about 56,000 spectators were inside. Airlink said the flyover was planned, rehearsed and authorized under special-event rules.
