Ryanair Cuts Traffic Target to Reduce Unhedged Fuel Costs
Ryanair cut its traffic target to reduce exposure to unhedged jet-fuel prices, saying hedging 80% of expected 2027 fuel at about $67 a barrel could cut winter losses by €70 million to €100 million. With jet fuel near $140 a barrel and the rest subject to market rates, it expects a profitable year but provides no full-year guidance yet. August passengers rose 6%, despite more than 400 flight cancellations due to Mount Etna.
