RWE reached a settlement with the US Department of the Interior to relinquish offshore wind leases in the New York Bight and off California and Louisiana. The company will receive USD 1.22 billion in settlement funds after investing more than USD 1 billion in lease acquisition and development, saying there is no foreseeable path to permit the projects in the US.
