Ørsted’s Old 300 Storage battery energy system in Needville, Texas (250 MW/500 MWh) has reached commercial operations and is fully integrated into the ERCOT grid. Co-located with the Old 300 Solar project, it should help ERCOT handle tight supply periods and support local benefits, including an estimated $110 million in Fort Bend County property-tax revenue. Tesla Megapacks and safety protocols are included.
