Ørsted announced plans for the Dadu 2 offshore wind project in Taiwan, targeting up to 2GW capacity. The project would cover about 234.6km² in the Taiwan Strait, roughly 38km off Changhua County, using turbines of 14MW to 22MW with 91 to 143 units possible. Power would route via an onshore substation, as the proposal advances through Taiwan’s green-energy permitting and consultation process.
