Ørsted and Nuveen Infrastructure have commissioned the 913 MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm in Germany, bringing it into commercial operation. Located 72 km off the North Sea coast, it features 83 turbines and supports long-term offtake agreements totaling 786 MW with major corporate buyers. The project expands Ørsted’s German offshore capacity to about 2.5 GW and can power the equivalent of around 2.5 million households.
