Rolls-Royce expands Marand partnership for Type 26 acoustic enclosures in Canberra
After a competitive international tender, Rolls-Royce selected Marand to build three additional gas-turbine acoustic enclosures and ship interface systems for the Type 26 programme. Marand will manufacture and assemble them in Melbourne, building on prior Hunter-class work supported by MT30 turbines supplied by Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce engineers are co-located with Marand to support design and testing, supporting Australia’s industrial defence capability and skilled local roles.
