Roche-Genentech licenses Hanmi HM17321 in up-to $2.3B obesity deal
Roche is partnering with Hanmi Pharm to advance HM17321, an investigational non-incretin peptide therapy aimed at reducing fat mass while preserving lean mass by targeting the CRF2 receptor. Under the licensing agreement, Genentech will pay $190 million upfront and could fund additional development, regulatory and commercial milestones for a total deal value up to $2.3 billion. Phase 1 recruiting of 90 healthy volunteers is underway.
