Roche expands its obesity pipeline with a deal for Hanmi Pharm’s HM17321, a urocortin 2 analog designed to promote weight loss while preserving lean tissue. Roche will pay $190 million upfront and up to $2.3 billion tied to milestones, plus royalties, for rights outside South Korea. Hanmi will complete a Phase 1 dosing trial before Roche takes over.
