Also Inc., a Rivian spinout, raised $150M in a Series D to accelerate autonomous driving for its small electric vehicles. Funding supports multiple self-driving formats on the same electric architecture used in its consumer and commercial products, including the pedal-assist TM-B with a five-inch display and over-the-air updates. Launch Edition units began shipping in late July at $4,500, and a cheaper model is planned later this year; DoorDash also signed a multiyear deal and took a stake.
