The Bundeswehr Aviation Authority (LufABw) has granted provisional airworthiness certification for Rheinmetall’s LUNA NG unmanned reconnaissance system, a key step toward full type certification. The certificate enables seamless integration into regular, restricted airspace. Rheinmetall developed and certified critical in-house components, supported by extensive flight trials and Bundeswehr pilot training for the HUSAR introduction.
