Rheinmetall Plans €260M Kassel Expansion to Add 1,000 Jobs
Rheinmetall plans to invest more than €260 million in its Kassel site in northern Hesse, including the adjacent Kassel-Calden Airport, aiming to expand tank production and add a logistics and drone testing center. The workforce in Kassel is expected to rise from 2,200 to 3,000 by 2029, with an initial order potential cited at about €12.4 billion and an economic boost to the region.
