Reliance Proposes Rs 2.73 Lakh Crore UCG Complex in Andhra Pradesh
Reliance Industries has proposed an investment of around Rs 2.73 lakh crore over 30 years to build India’s first integrated Underground Coal Gasification complex in Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh, using Chintalapudi and Recherla coal blocks. Development depends on exploration results and commercial viability, with exploration and pilot work expected to start this financial year. The project could create thousands of direct and many more indirect jobs.
