Siemens’ managing board appointed Rainer Brehm president of its new Automation unit, to take effect Oct. 1, 2026. The reorganization merges four automation business units—customer services, factory automation, motion control and process automation—under CEO of Digital Industries Cedrik Neike. Siemens says the combined unit will expand software-defined automation and industrial AI to strengthen flexible, productive and resilient production for customers.
