Qualcomm Signs Deal to Provide Amazon With Custom AI Chips
Qualcomm said it has signed a deal with Amazon to create customized silicon for Amazon Web Services artificial intelligence infrastructure. The chip work will cover AI service processing and components that connect computer systems, running across multiple generations. The agreement also makes Amazon a data center chip customer and includes a right to acquire up to $4 billion in Qualcomm shares.
