Qualcomm will raise the price of its chips by double digits for shipments after September 1, following a July notice that it can no longer absorb rising supplier costs. Apple continues to buy Qualcomm chips for its iPhone 17 line despite building its own modem chips and has raised prices on other devices. DRAM prices are also up due to supply issues, and Apple is expected to price the iPhone 18 Pro higher as well.
