PVR Inox launches low-cost Smart Screens for expansion to 300 cities
PVR INOX is rolling out its Smart Screens format, a lower-cost cinema model for tier-II, tier-III and emerging markets. The company plans to introduce it in about 300 cities across India over the next three years, starting with Muzaffarpur, using a smaller footprint and lower capex, with ticket prices targeted 30%-35% below regular multiplexes and investment of about ₹1.9 crore per screen.
