Six years after receiving economic-development incentives, Pratt & Whitney has surpassed its Asheville commitments, with county filings showing wages at 117% of pledged levels. Buncombe County says it has provided $7.3 million in incentives, and the state contributed $15.5 million. Pratt & Whitney also plans 325 new jobs and an additional $285 million investment in Asheville.
