PLDT Unit Vitro Plans 100MW Data Center to Meet AI Demand

PLDT, through its data center arm Vitro, is eyeing doubling its capacity with a next facility of at least 100 MW to meet rising demand from AI and hyperscalers, including government and enterprise workloads. PLDT currently operates 11 data centers totaling 100 MW. The chairman says the site must be evaluated for power rates, reliable cooling water, and a steady pipeline of local IT talent.
