Philips issued an Urgent Medical Device Correction letter for nearly 800 Cardiac Workstation 5000 and more than 1,800 Cardiac Workstation 7000 systems after reports of inaccurate native heart-rate data. No returns are needed, but clinicians must follow new guidance. Philips will upgrade affected units to Cardiac Workstation Release 1.2.0.7.
