PG&E Drops 18% After California Wildfire Bill Omits Liability Cap
PG&E slid 18% to about $13.57 after California’s SB 492 passed without a $6 billion per-incident wildfire liability cap or a mechanism to replenish the Wildfire Fund. Edison International fell 23% to about $54.22, its largest single-day decline in more than 25 years. The selloff was largely isolated to California wildfire statute risk.
