Petrobras cut the price of gasoline A by R$0.19 per liter to R$3.05, effective Thursday, after the federal government announced a R$0.63-per-liter subsidy. The prior R$0.44 discount was withdrawn, leaving distributors with a net R$0.19 reduction. For diesel, Petrobras said it is waiting for legal measures to apply the new R$1-per-liter subsidy, with the price gap to imported fuel still reported as large.
