PepsiCo Expands Fresh-Food Offerings as Consumers Shun Processed Snacks
PepsiCo is shifting focus to fresh foods as shoppers move away from processed snacks, investing to grow its perimeter presence. In the past month it launched Tostitos guacamole and brought Mediterranean-style gazpacho brand Alvalle to the U.S. Seven in 10 shoppers say perimeter food is higher quality and worth paying more for. PepsiCo also bought the remaining half of Sabra in 2025.
