Pennsylvania American Water to Inspect Service Lines in Wilkes-Barre
Pennsylvania American Water plans a door-to-door canvassing effort in Wilkes-Barre next week with partner CDM Smith to identify the material of customer-owned water service lines. City officials say more than 10,000 lines have unknown material. Canvassers will leave door hangers, wear safety gear, and carry identification, with advance notices sent by postcard and email. Residents can permit property inspections starting around Sept. 1 or schedule an inspection via phone or online.
