Paramount and California AG Office Plan Monday Talks to Settle WBD Lawsuit
Paramount and the California attorney general’s office plan to meet Monday on settling a Warner Bros. Discovery antitrust challenge. A July lawsuit by 12 state AGs targets the $110 billion Paramount–Warner Bros. deal, with pressure to settle growing after calls from Gov. Newsom, Mayor Bass, and the Directors Guild. AG Bonta says structural remedies are needed, focusing on three markets; CNN and foreign regulators are separate topics. If delayed past Sept. 30, Paramount owes Warner Bros.
