Orrick advised Ørsted on a contract with Arenko to use Arenko’s Nimbus software to optimise Ørsted’s 300 MW / 600 MWh Iceni battery energy storage system. The Iceni BESS will be co-located with the 2.9 GW Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm in the UK and is scheduled to operate from Q1 2027, with Nimbus handling trading and real-time optimisation.
