Oracle Prepares Another Layoff Round Before Sept. 1 to Fund AI
Oracle is reportedly preparing another layoff round before September 1, with managers asked to submit lists of affected employees ahead of the first day of its second fiscal quarter. Oracle has not confirmed the plan. The company ended fiscal 2026 with about 141,000 employees and boosted capital expenditures to $55.7 billion for data center expansion, while earlier financing for OpenAI capacity raised debt of about $58 billion.
