OMV Petrom Expands Green Hydrogen Capacity to 55 MW at Petrobrazi

OMV Petrom has expanded green hydrogen plans at its Petrobrazi refinery in Romania to 55 MW after receiving a second 35‑MW electrolyzer. Seven 5‑MW modules will integrate with an earlier 20‑MW unit, targeting about 8,000 tonnes of annual green hydrogen from renewable power. The hydrogen and SAF/HVO projects are part of a €750 million sustainable fuels investment, with production set for 2028.
