OCI Holdings’ U.S. unit OCI Energy broke ground on the 260-MW SunRoper solar project in Wharton County, Texas, in a 50-50 joint venture with Arava Power. The project covers 1,714 acres and is slated for commercial operations in 2027. OCI Energy is also expanding energy storage, including the 120-MW/480-MWh Alamo City project, shifting toward an owner-operator strategy.
