Oatly finds ambient barista oat drink cuts climate impact by 67%

Oatly says an independent life-cycle analysis shows its ambient barista oat drink has 67% lower climate impact than chilled British cow’s milk, up from a 58% gap in 2021. The study also reports land-use improvements and far lower water use, while chilled products show similar gains in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. Changes in agricultural and methane modelling help explain the widening difference.
