Novartis paused several trials of its CAR T rapcabtagene autoleucel in autoimmune disease after three patient deaths. Bristol Myers Squibb followed by voluntarily freezing autoimmune trials for its CAR T zolacabtagene autoleucel after observing transient and reversible inflammatory events. Elsewhere, Revolution Medicines gained early FDA approval for its pancreatic cancer drug Rasonque, while other clinical trials reported futility or failure.
