Northrop Grumman Opens Propulsion Innovation Center in Maryland
Northrop Grumman opened a propulsion innovation center in Elkton, Maryland, supported by a $100 million investment to expand hypersonic air-breathing propulsion and solid rocket motor design and manufacturing. The facility is expected to raise on-site SRM capacity by 25%, support more than 30% staffing growth, and help increase solid rocket propellant output from about 30 million pounds annually to nearly 50 million by 2028.
