Northern Coalfields Ltd, a Coal India unit, reported production rising 67% to 0.30 million tonnes (MT) and supplies up 75% to 0.35 MT on September 8 as monsoon rains receded. Supplies recovery follows rain-affected averages of 0.18 MT production and 0.20 MT supplies earlier in September. NCL is also increasing rake loading and dispatch to strengthen evacuation for the power sector.
