Norfolk Southern to Support STERIS Rail-Served Manufacturing Center in Sanford

The North Carolina Railroad Co. will spend up to $600,000 to build rail infrastructure for STERIS’s 600,000-square-foot manufacturing campus at Helix Innovation Park in Sanford. With Norfolk Southern providing rail service, the site will receive and distribute at least 160 railcars annually by 2031. The $600 million healthcare facility is expected to create at least 335 new jobs, supported by an NCRR Invests grant.
