NLRB Rules Starbucks Manager’s Shift-Exchange Comments Were Lawful
The NLRB ruled a Seattle Starbucks manager did not violate federal labor law when she told a unionized employee she might be barred from picking up shifts at the company’s non-union locations. The board cited the manager’s statement that she was unsure of policy and that the worker was welcome at her home store, and noted similar NLRB cases against Starbucks since 2024.
