Nintendo Secures $300M in IEEPA Tariff Refunds for Switch 2 Launch
Nintendo said it absorbed IEEPA tariffs during the Switch 2 launch, then won $300 million in refunds for invalidated U.S. levies. The refund boosted its gross profit and operating margins for the quarter. After Customs processes payments, two consumers filed a class action claiming Nintendo should pass tariff costs back; Nintendo opposed dismissal and also sued the U.S. government for refunds.
