NextEra Energy reports its AI-driven dispatch and outage-scheduling tool has delivered more than $20 million in customer savings this year. The Grid Composer platform consolidates real-time telemetry, load data, and generation profiles to compare manual decisions with an AI-optimized alternative, built in under 12 weeks and used by FPL technicians with voice-activated field guidance. Santee Cooper is also working with Google on a custom WeatherNe-based forecasting model to reduce costly spot-market purchases during extreme weather swings.
