Newsom reportedly open to settlement in CA antitrust fight over WBD deal
California Governor Gavin Newsom reportedly said he would prefer a settlement to resolve the state attorney general’s antitrust challenge to Paramount Skydance’s $110B plan to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery. California and other states continue opposing the deal, saying it could harm film and TV distribution and reduce jobs. Rob Bonta indicated robust structural remedies would be needed, amid concerns the CEO could relocate studio work out of California.
