Nestlé Plans New Infant Formula Factory in Brazil and SFr310m Investment
Nestlé is set to build an infant-formula factory in Brazil, a strategic market for its nutrition business, and invest SFr310m across the Americas, including upgrades at its Araçatuba hub in São Paulo state. GlobalData forecasts baby-milk sales in Brazil to rise from 2.53bn reais in 2025 to 2.9bn by 2029. The plan comes amid Anvisa’s February recall of ten Alfamino batches over iodine and selenium levels, which Nestlé disputed as a unit-conversion error.
