From 1 September 2026, National Grid’s Group Executive Committee will shrink from 13 to 8, concentrating leadership in the CEO, CFO, UK and US Presidents, Global Capital, Technology and Innovation, People, and Legal. The reshaped operating model aligns with a planned capital investment programme of at least £70 billion to modernise UK and US Northeast networks for electrification and the energy transition, including distributed energy resources.
