National Grid is announcing £624 million of contracts for 78 companies in England and Wales as part of its £40 billion, five-year programme to upgrade the UK’s electricity infrastructure. The work will support maintenance and enhancements to the strategic network, creating opportunities for local businesses, jobs and communities while helping enable thousands of new homes and facilities planned for the decade.
