NACCO Posts Q2 2026 Net Loss on $12M Solar Asset Impairments
NACCO Industries reported a Q2 2026 net loss of $1 million, mainly from $12 million in impairment charges on solar assets, despite gross profit rising to $15.2 million on 6% higher revenue. Adjusted EBITDA increased 72% year over year on strong coal mining, contract mining, and minerals results. The company expects second-half operating results to moderate from possible additional solar costs and inventory write-downs, but remains confident in long-term growth from new contracts and disciplined capital investments.
