Four Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group-affiliated companies have started a proof-of-concept to run a domestically domiciled tokenized investment trust in a live production environment. They will perform the full process from asset management to trust administration, rights management, and tokenization infrastructure, testing issues such as net asset value calculation and additional subscriptions or partial redemptions. Beneficiary ownership is recorded on a blockchain registry, while rights remain represented by paper certificates.
