Moody’s and S&P assign investment-grade ratings to Sun Pharma’s Organon bid
Moody’s and S&P kept stable outlooks for Sun Pharmaceutical following the firm’s binding bid to acquire 100% of Organon & Co for $11.75 billion. S&P assigned a preliminary BBB+ and Moody’s a Baa1 as the deal is expected to close by March 2027, subject to regulatory approvals. The acquisition is projected to lift FY28 revenue to about ₹1.3 trillion and contribute 40–45% of group EBITDA, with potential cross-selling in China and Korea.
