Moderna and Merck report positive Phase 3 for melanoma mRNA therapy
Moderna shares jumped as much as 160% after the US drugmaker and Merck reported a successful Phase 3 trial of intismeran autogene, a personalised mRNA melanoma therapy designed from each patient’s tumour mutations to train the immune system. The companies said the late-stage readout met its main goal and was the first positive Phase 3 for this individualized neoantigen approach.
