MMSD Committee Recommends Jacobs Solutions for 10-Year Wastewater Contract
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Committee recommended moving forward with Jacobs Solutions to oversee its wastewater facilities under a new 10-year contract. The decision follows complaints and a Common Ground investigation alleging mismanagement by current private operator Veolia. MMSD is running a third-party audit to improve operations and oversight while weighing price, approach, staffing, training, corporate culture, workforce development, and regional partnerships.
