Microsoft merges Copilot consumer and business apps for Super App

Microsoft is starting to combine its consumer and business Copilot apps into a single product foundation for an upcoming “Super App,” with migration rolling out gradually over the next several weeks. Consumer features will change materially, including the removal of Copilot Podcasts, Group Chat, and Deep Research starting Aug. 18, while commercial users see mostly cosmetic updates. Jacob Andreou leads the effort, following Copilot’s surge to 30M+ paid seats in Microsoft 365.
