Micron Warned of Taiwan Strike Risk Over Bonus System Overhaul
Unions representing nearly 10,000 Micron employees in Taiwan are threatening strike action unless the chipmaker overhauls its bonus system. Workers want a one-time payment for fiscal 2026 and profit-linked quarterly bonuses from fiscal 2027, adding operational risk as Micron expands DRAM and HBM capacity for AI customers, including a new Tongluo site. A negotiated settlement could limit disruption.
