Microchip Portfolio Expansion in AI and Data Centers Challenges AMD
Microchip says its expanding product portfolio is widening exposure to edge AI, data centers, aerospace and defense, and networking, helping shorten customer development cycles and cut integration risk. Aerospace and defense revenue rose 45.6% year over year in Q1 fiscal 2027, and the company expects multi-year defense demand. It forecasts its data-center portfolio up 69.3% YoY to about $1B in 2026.
